From time to time I receive requests if this is possible to buy books with Russian tales, with Russian cooking recipes and on other topics dedicated to Russian culture. I do not sell books as shipping from Russia of individual book orders greatly increases prices for books. In order to help visitors of the site to get necessary books I decided to make a list of such books available at the on-line shop Amazon.com (they promise some comission for this redirection but actually it is so small that hardly can cover costs for hosting). I take responsibility to make some short comments on books which may help to select a book. Of course, you can make your own search at Amazon.com's site but everybody who did it may know that this is not always easy to dig into search results that sometimes consist of hundreads items

Books dedicated to Russian history, mostly to events in Russia in the beginning of 20 century, to last Russian tsar Nicholas the Second.

Some books of Russian classic literature, at my opinion most valuable from art and cultural point of view. Pushkin, Tolstoy, Chekhov - these writers are known for many readers but there are some other writers whose books should be added to a personal library.
